Hi Erik, It's been nearly two weeks now since my Old World flute set arrived. From not being able to produce a sound for the first 30 minutes on the side blown flutes, I am now finding it easier each day to create music and I look forward to the end of the day to spend some time on each flute. And it's not just "music practice", I am finding it such a profound thing to produce music on the bamboo flutes. The instrument is so incredibly simple yet so rich! Playing it with your breath is like singing - almost like praying. So soulful. Your flutes are the only instruments I've been able to play expressively with my eyes closed, and it's only been 2 weeks! I understand now when people say the flute teaches you how to play the songs. Hey Erik, I've had your Old World flutes for about a week now. Every single flute is so beautiful and unique not only in its sound, but in how they look, the way they play, and how each flute can take me to a completely different dimension than the last. Hi Erik, here is what I have to say about the Old World Flute Set. It is one of those things that you can spend a lifetime on and never get bored. Still even after only a few days I already know I dug up a treasure chest. Oriental flute: this flute takes you to places and you don´t even need to close your eyes. You just go for the ride automatically. Medium Arabian flute: This flute is larger-than-life Arabia. It is the flute that plays in the background while you sit in the bazaar, drink some mint tea and listen to your friend Sinbad the Sailor tell you his stories. The flute triggers that imagination. It is fantastic in every sense of the word and endless fun. Brazilian Major / Major G / Bansuri flute: What amazed me most is the versatility of the instrument. As you already demonstrated online it can go all the way from light-hearted jazz to deep soul-moving classical music and from dance hall to concert hall in no time. Egyptian flute: Surely has an enchanting voice. She takes you to the biblical land of milk and honey where King Solomon recites his love poetry, where lion and sheep sleep side by side. She is so soothing and divine with her prayerful voice. I am in love as you can probably tell. The Counselor amazes me and would be a perfect companion for any renaissance fair performer. The time I spend with your flutes is among the best time of the day. Your flutes are marvelously delightful. How-To DVD: The Concepts of the Major G / Bansuri flute were a real light bulb moment, making me realize how much could actually be done with this flute. All along I had a feeling of versatility about this flute which is why I wanted the Major G in the first place but the possibilities go far beyond what I thought. Perfectly Mellow: Just what it says: perfectly mellow and tranquil and calming. Flute Back Pack: Colorful and sturdy. Excellent stuff.
