I love a flute with a story!

While clearing an area to build my 'Japanese Garden' around our bamboo grove, I found a piece of bamboo with holes that looked like a perfect "Nature Flute. I was not sure if ants made the holes or perhaps a woodpecker. And I was very curious as to the tuning of this "Nature Flute". So I and copied the holes and was thrilled with what I found! A pentatonic minor flute! Very Japanese! I then was able to move some holes to better fit the hand while keeping the scale intact. I am calling it, My Japanese Garden ~ Nature Flute.

As every piece of bamboo is a bit different I am making these tuned to themselves. I will toss in a free flute bag, free protective binding and free shipping inside the USA. And this will help our business to help sponsor our first container of food for 2022 to ship to our feeding centers and mercy kids in Nicaragua. 

Tips on playing:

How to blow: If you are new at this, first hold the flute around the blow-hole and press and roll the flute against a soft grin and spit out watermelon seeds across the hole to catch the sweet spot where the air splits across the thin edge of the blow-hole creating sound.

Fingering: Use the padding of the fingers not the tips and go from all closed to all open and back again to tune your ear to this melodic scale. This tuning is also found in the Japanese Shakuhachi and in the 5 hole Native American Style Flute.
