Hello Erik, I received my Ancient Flute set yesterday, safe and sounding fantastic! The Jiahu Crane flute in particular is a real pleasure to play; the pentatonic scale is simple to grasp and easy to jump right into that creative mindset. The Kokin flute is also very lovely and instantly transports me to the Land of the Rising Sun. But the Anasazi flute does give off a lover's lament type of feeling, a kind of longing as you mentioned in the background you gave. And possibly my favorite of the four is the whimsical Ice Age flute which is so incredibly easy to play and puts you on a nostalgic trip through ancient humanity. : ) I also appreciate the booklets included with the set which gives some explanation of how to play them and even a few tunes to get you started, as well as the story behind your inspiration in creating them. You've outdone yourself yet again, Master Flute Maker! Bravo! Thank you once again for providing these fantastic and unique instruments which bring the joy of God into my heart. Erik, I received my Ancient Flute Set today. You've outdone yourself again. The 'ancient' theme of this set is very cool. As usual, the quality is great and the music that comes from them is unique. I was grateful to have the opportunity to acquire a Jiahu crane flute. I missed them when they were available years ago and wished I could get one, and now I have one. I think the small Anasazi flute is a really neat idea. I'm not aware if anyone has ever made a "mini-Anasazi" flute before, so this is a rather unique instrument and a really fun twist on the Anasazi sound. I often find it more difficult to play the smaller flutes, but this mini-Anasazi is easy. The sound just flows from it. And being a high B flat, it goes perfectly with my low B flat full-size Anasazi flute. Also the bag is nice. Very attractive, well-made, and perfect for this set. Overall a very cool package.
