These bags are made by designer Deybin Estrada, who was taught to sew by Max the tailor at our children's home. Aside from sewing, this sweet spirited young man rides out to some of 243 children with disabilities of the Mercy Ministry and to some of their 49 Feeding Centers to check up on them and make deliveries. Deybin was one of the original Kids of Cascabel who was rescued from a garbage dump outside Somoto, in northern Nicaragua.
Another sower of these bags is Norma Garcia, one of our single, mercy mothers, whose daughter is Meyling, who has cerebral palsy. This family was struggling and needed a home. We built Norma and Meyling a house and provided her with a sewing machine and now Norma can support her family.
Pictures: Deybin growing up and becoming a sower, visiting the kids of our mercy ministry and packing beans grown on their farm to give to the mercy ministry. And see Norma and Meyling and their new home.
If you decide to get one, please let me know the number of the bag you would like in the message area at check out. Thanks!
